Prepare well
It's important to be well-prepared before venturing out to discover a winter sport. A small detail can make all the difference. Here's the suggested procedure to ensure you have the best possible experience with us.
Firstly
24 hours before
the start of the course
The day of the course
Before leaving the house
Upon arriving at the station
Booking in advance is always recommended. First, you can review our available programs . Then, take a look at our skill level chart to determine the best option for you. Finally, you can complete your booking using the online form . Once the form is completed, the school will contact you to confirm the date and time of your lesson and take payment by phone.
Since snow sports take place outdoors, it is strongly recommended to check the weather forecast for the day and dress accordingly. Pin Rouge has a weather station at the mountain's summit, which you can access here . A collaboration with Tourisme Gaspésie also allows us to have a camera that broadcasts live images from the resort.
We suggest these items, not only for the duration of the course, but at any time when you are practicing a sliding sport:
-Good warm mittens (a spare pair is recommended).
-A neck warmer and/or balaclava that fits inside a ski helmet.
-Ski socks are also recommended, or at the very least socks that go up to the top of the calf, to ensure comfort in the boots.
-Hand and/or foot warmers (Hot-Shots). You can purchase them at the resort's rental shop.
-A warm base layer, in fleece or other material (avoid cotton or jeans).
-A snack slipped into the child's pocket can work wonders too!
The ski school and rental shop are located in the same building, in the basement of the resort. You can access it through the main entrance of the resort and go down the stairs leading to the basement, or through the door at the bottom of the chalet, on the mountain side.
It is strongly recommended that you arrive at the ski school counter at least 20 minutes before the start of the lesson, in order to obtain your lift ticket, read and sign the risk acceptance form, prepare your equipment and meet your instructor.
If you have reserved rental equipment, please allow an additional 20 minutes to pick it up. Go to the rental shop counter first and then proceed to the school counter.
